A carved powder horn from the French and Indian War, depicting western New York. The horn is named to ‘Henry Amos,’ and dated to 1760 by the inscription. This is a nicely etched horn, with strong indention and inking skills. Several place names are misspelled or idiosyncratically spelled. Leather carrying strap broken. Measures 19 inches along the curve. Very good, original condition.
