A bronze medal produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu campaign (1952-1953). Both sides feature relief portraits and inscriptions. One side has two smiling Vietnamese people on the lower left side with ’50 EME ANNIVERSAIRE 7 MAI 2004′ above it at the center, and is inscribed around the edge, ‘ASSOCIATION NATIONALE DES COMBATTANTS DE DIEN-BIEN-PHU.’ The reverse side features relief portraits of military members, as well as an anchor and aviation wings representing the Navy and Air Force. Measures approximately 3″ in diameter and weighs 185 grams.
