Description

A uniform belonging to General Fridolin von Senger und Etterlin, commander of Wehrmacht forces during both Operation Barbarossa and the Allied Invasion of Italy. Senger’s crowning moment in the war came during the Battle of Monte Cassino. There are a number of items accompanying the base uniform, including: 1) A suitcase bearing Senger’s luggage tag. 2) A wallet with papers and cash. 3) A Wehrmacht officer’s dress dagger, with hanger and portapee, engraved with ‘FvSE’ for Senger’s initials. The blade does not have a maker’s mark. 4) Several books by Senger. 5) A bag that has been cross stitched with the word ‘Warhe.’ 6) A camo cover for a suitcase. 7) A suitcase, which contains everything or to which everything is attached. There is also a photo of the uniform, showing it fairly recently, with Senger’s models placed on the uniform; the medals have been removed from the jacket, but this does demonstrate that the continuity of this jacket back to Senger. Very good, original condition.
