Italian Royal Army infantry officer’s dress uniform. Includes a M1934 tunic with black velvet collar, scarlet piping, major’s cuff insignia, bullion shoulder boards and white-and-red collar tabs associated with the 37th and 38th Infantry Regiments. Accompanied by a peaked visor cap and folding field cap, both bearing crowned crossed-rifle insignia with central crosses, and a blue officer’s sash with twin tassels. Includes three medals corresponding to the tunic’s ribbon bar: the War Merit Cross, 1915-1918 War Commemorative Medal and Unity of Italy Medal, 1848-1918, together with a separate fasces lapel badge. Caps bear non-regimental insignia.
Condition: Presents well with scattered fabric wear, fraying, and age toning to bullion and metal fittings. Caps show leather wear to the inseam. Visored cap has tarnishing on gold-toned rank stripe and the visor is warped and partially separated from the cap in the middle. Medal ribbons exhibit fading, staining and frayed ends. Sash shows discoloration.
