Smith & Wesson US Army Model 1917 hand ejector double-action revolver with M1910 pistol belt, M1909 holster, cartridge pouch and 4 half-moon clips. Barrel length 5.5 inches. Frame marked “U.S. Army Model 1917” at butt. Left of barrel marked “S&W D.A. 45.” Top of barrel has “Smith & Wesson, Springfield Mass. U.S.A.” over patent dates 1901-1909. Marked throughout with Springfield Armory proof eagle over “S1,” “S2” and “S24.” Matching serial numbers “140462” on grip butt, under barrel, on cylinder face and reverse of extractor star. A different serial, “17125,” is stamped on the yoke and yoke seating. Right grip plate stamped “SP.” Holster marked “G&K 1917 A.G.” Cartridge pouch ink-stamped “63.” Caliber: 45 Automatic | Serial Number: 140462. This lot has a reserve.
Very good condition. Unmodified and correct. Mechanically OK, functions without issue. Bore is clear, a little rough, but clean.
