Officer’s M1872 kepi of blue wool with thick leather visor and crossed rifles insignia of the 12th Infantry Regiment. Exterior has four rows of black braided mohair and Austrian knot crown. Interior has polished cotton liner over leather sweatband and leather disc crown reinforcement. Leather disc inscribed “BE FSH.” Cap opening measures 7.5 inches front to back.

Very good condition. Checking, marring of leather. Liner partially separated.
