Left of barrel marked “VP” over eagle’s head proof and “P.” Center barrel marked “A.” Lock plate has eagle and “U.S. Springfield.” Breech block marked “U.S. Model 1884.” Buffington rear sight. Faint cartouche on left of stock. Bayonet marked “U.S.” and “486493.” Caliber: 45-70 Government. Serial Number: 486493.
Fine condition. Mechanically good, functions without issue. Bore is bright and clear with slight fouling. Spotty oxidation of barrel. Stock is free of cracks.
