Hirschfanger type stag grip forestry dagger with scabbard and frog. Blade has mark of high-end Vienna blade boutique J. Kulhanek. Steel clamshell guard with martial symbols of Hannover: a crown over rampant stallion, as well as a Wolfsangel. Behind the clamshell, a gently curved steel S-guard with acorn finials. Sturdy, single-edged drop point blade. Retains felt washer at base of blade. Stag grip with steel pommel and peened tang. Leather scabbard with steel chape and throat. Frog has very long, 8-inch belt loops, meaning this was a cavalryman’s knife. Blade length 6-5/8 inches. Overall length 11-7/8 inches. | This lot has a reserve.
