Exceptionally rare wartime production Immanuel Meffert “Hubertus” Dural three-barrel drilling. Barrel length 25-5/8 inches. LOP 14 inches. Chambered in 16/65 (16 gauge, 2-9/16″) over 6.5x57R. Matching serial number “66107” present on barrel, receiver, and forend. Receiver marked “Dural | Hubertus | Suhl.” Forged from lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. Because Duralumin was strictly rationed for the Luftwaffe by the gun’s October 1940 proof date (“1040”), the gun was likely a commission for a high-ranking individual or assembled from a pre-ration receiver. Boxlock action featuring an oversized horn trigger guard. Right barrel marked “Imman. Meffert.” Left barrel marked “Suhl.” All three barrels marked “Krupp-Laufstahl” under forend. Barrel flats bear correct wartime commercial eagle over “N” nitro proofs. Sighting system includes a front blade with flip-up twilight bead, automatic flip-up notch rear sight, and Mauser-type side-swinging scope mounts. Housed in a checkered wood stock with horn butt plate. Includes latching wood travel case, leather sling, and leather muzzle cover. Case dimensions 28 x 11 x 3 inches. FFL or C&R required for transfer.
